First Windows established in 1991, is a nationwide network of independently owned licensed windows and door fabrication businesses.

Ranges
First windows, doors and hardware offer carefully designed and engineered product ranges for every style and size of home – and for every exposure. We recognise the realities of current building and design, as well as the sometimes harsh realities of the New Zealand climate. The First suite was designed and launched in the 1990s and has been the subject of continuous refinement and product range expansion.
APL Architectural Series is especially designed for architecturally styled homes and apartments where size, strength and uncompromising good looks and function are desired. Profiles reflect contemporary preferences for clean, flush surfaces, continuous sightlines and square-edged forms. A full suite of products is offered with doors capable of heights up to 2.7m and higher, depending on the wind exposure.
First Residential is designed for mainstream use at an economical price, a complete product range for just about every requirement. Available with the ThermalHeart upgrade for maximum thermal efficiency, the range features user-friendly function with generous sized profiles that deliver plenty of strength. Suitable for doors up to 2.1m high in very high wind zones.
First Windows & Doors have a high-performing range of solutions for all homes and commercial projects, from entrance doors to windows, sliders, bi-folds and thermally efficient options.
Elemental – sleek, clean minimalism – as its name implies, the Elemental hardware range strives for simplicity.
Metro Series is a premier range of windows and doors suitable for residential and architectural uses in demanding environments. It provides a unified and contemporary design aesthetic and is the mid-range option from First, between First Residential and the APL Architectural Series.
ThermalHEART technology is available in First Residential and Metro Series windows and doors and maximises internal comfort level in homes, especially in winter. A nylon thermal insulator separates the inside and outside metal faces. This cleverly integrated barrier stops the transmission of cold through the aluminium. It’s an affordable investment with substantial long term energy savings and health benefits. It is always supplied with double glazing, and with a variety of high thermal performance glass options.
